Receiving Institution Opt-Outs

The DDM Program allows Participating Institutions and their customers to exclude specific participating Receiving Institutions from their allocation profile. This ensures that funds are not deposited into Receiving Institutions where a Customer may already have funds on deposits which would otherwise reduce the Customer's ability to access deposit insurance on their funds under the DDM Program.

Opt-Out Logic

Scope

Customers can opt-out of any participating Receiving Institution at any time.

Proactive Exclusion

Opt-Outs can also be placed against institutions that are not currently in the DDM Program to account for future program expansions or mergers.

Global Opt-Outs

A Participating Institution may choose to opt all of its Customers out of a specific Receiving Institution (or multiple institutions) simultaneously.

Process and Maintenance

Weekly Updates

R&T maintains and updates the link to the current list of Receiving Institutions on a daily basis and includes this information in the weekly DDM Program Update Notice, distributed each Monday. This list should be referenced to confirm participating Receiving Institutions and to support the management of customer allocation preferences.

Submission

There are multiple ways to initiate an opt-out:

  • Clients can manage customer level opt-outs via the Client Access Portal (CAP) or by completing the DDM Receiving Institution – Opt-Out Request Form (attached as Exhibit A of Customer T&Cs) and emailing it to DDM Operations.

  • Additionally, end-customers can manage their own opt-outs via the DepositView Portal (if the client enables that option).
